UK data protection framework

Bright Minds Centre aims to handle personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This means personal information should be collected for clear purposes, handled fairly, kept secure, and not retained for longer than necessary.

What we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as names, contact details, booking requests, enquiry content, referral information, assessment-related documents and communication records. We may also collect technical website information such as browser data, device type and cookie preferences.

How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and arrange discovery calls, screening or assessment appointments
  • To understand the referral question and direct enquiries to the appropriate pathway
  • To prepare reports, recommendations and service communications where relevant
  • To manage safeguarding, complaints, consent and legal or regulatory responsibilities
  • To improve website usability, service planning and operational quality

How information may be shared

Information is shared only where there is a clear reason to do so, such as supporting an agreed referral route, complying with legal obligations, protecting safety, or working with secure service providers who help operate the website or administrative systems. This includes Semble, our practice management platform, which securely receives and stores information submitted through our online enquiry, contact, and discovery call booking forms. Semble processes this information on our behalf, under agreed data protection terms, solely for the purpose of managing enquiries and appointments. Bright Minds Centre does not treat signposting to independent providers as automatic permission to disclose information.

Retention and your rights

Information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, together with any legal, regulatory or safeguarding obligations that apply. Under the UK data protection framework, you may ask for access to your data, request correction of inaccurate information, or ask questions about how your information is being handled by using the Contact Us page.
