Safeguarding Statement

Bright Minds Centre is committed to promoting the welfare and safety of children, young people and adults who use or enquire about its services.

Our safeguarding commitment

Safeguarding concerns are taken seriously. This includes concerns about abuse, neglect, exploitation, coercion, unsafe care arrangements, serious self-neglect, or other circumstances where a child, young person or adult may not be safe.

When information may be shared

Confidentiality is important, but it is not absolute. If there is a safeguarding concern, information may need to be shared with appropriate services, professionals or statutory agencies in order to protect safety, comply with law or respond to significant risk.

What this means in practice

  • Safeguarding concerns may influence whether an enquiry can proceed in the ordinary way
  • Concerns may need to be escalated rather than simply recorded
  • Information may need to be limited, clarified or redirected where risk is active
  • Immediate risk should be managed through emergency or crisis services, not routine enquiry forms

If you are worried about safety now

If there is immediate danger or serious concern for someone’s welfare, contact emergency services, NHS 111, a GP, local social care, a local crisis team or A&E as appropriate. Bright Minds Centre is not an emergency response service.
